Islamabad: Pakistan’s trade deficit gas slashed by 21 percent to USD 1.7 billion in August 2024.


According to provisional foreign trade figures released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics during Aug’24, exports stood at USD 2.7bn (+16% YoY | +19% MoM). Imports during the month remained at USD 4.4bn (-1% YoY | +5% MoM). During the first two months of current fiscal year, trade deficit also decreased by 4% YoY to USD 3.6 billion.
