ISLAMABAD: Pakistan LNG Limited (PLL) has invited bids from reputed international suppliers for the procurement of two Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargoes, scheduled for delivery in December 2026 and January 2027, respectively, at Port Qasim, Karachi.

According to a tender notice published by PLL, the state-owned company is seeking LNG supplies on a Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) basis to meet the country’s gas requirements.

Under tender number PLL/IMP/LNGT80, the company has specified delivery windows of December 14-16, 2026, for the first cargo, and January 9-11, 2027, for the second cargo.

The quantity requirement has been set at 140,000 cubic metres per cargo, with a tolerance of plus or minus five per cent, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the bidding documents.

PLL has set November 6, 2026, at 2:00 pm as the deadline for submission of electronic bids, while bids will be opened on the same day at 2:30 pm through the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) version 2.0.

The company has clarified that manual submission of bids will not be entertained, requiring interested international suppliers to participate through the electronic procurement platform.

The electronic bidding documents, containing detailed terms and conditions, technical specifications and other requirements, are available on EPADS v2.0 for registered bidders.

PLL has also advised suppliers who have not registered on the new version of the procurement system to complete their registration through the EPADS vendors’ portal to participate in the bidding process.

Pakistan LNG Limited, a government-owned entity, is mandated to procure LNG to meet the country’s gas requirements. The latest tender comes amid continuing efforts to arrange LNG supplies for the domestic energy market and ensure availability of imported gas during the winter period. Ends
