ISLAMABAD: M/s Huawei Pakistan has shown interest in automation of Pakistan’s electricity distribution system including establishment of Smart Grids.
Sources told NewzShewz that the proposal has been sent by the Managing Director Huawei Pakistan to Power Division with the request for an appointment for elaboration of the company’s future plan.
According to the company, elimination of electricity theft and minimization of line losses is directly proportional to the GDP growth of any country as it will ensure reliable electricity availability at a reasonable cost to industries and domestic users.
Huawei Smart Grid & Intelligence Distribution System have following capabilities: – (i) Generation and Transmission Part: – digital power plant and substation: physical security protection, Al CCTV, intelligent inspection, greatly improve O&M efficiency; and Future Oriented Communication Network: – power transmission communication networks, Broadband Operation, greatly improve stability of power grid communication.
On distribution and consumption part, the Company has to make available;(i) real time electricity distribution monitoring at all levels;(ii) improve power supply reliability and fault detection;(iii) transformer monitoring, three-phase unbalance calculation, real time line loss calculation etc. ;(iv) refined O&M: monitoring through digital platforms, electricity resources protection;(v) real time electricity distribution monitoring at all levels;(vi) eliminate electricity theft;(vii) automated billing to consumers;(viii) reduce & controlled line losses ;(ix) consolidate data for better decision making.
ln continuation to Company’s plan, Managing Director has also shown interest to share the proposal of Smart Grid to the top brass of Power Division.
