ISLAMABAD : The Board of Directors (BoD) of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has decided to reappoint the incumbent Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Muhammad Aamer and sought his security clearance from the relevant Agencies through the Power Division, well informed sources told Newzshewz on Saturday.
According to FESCO Board’s Company Secretary, Abid Rashid the FESCO Board of Directors is in process of hiring against the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Company in accordance with the rules and stipulations laid down in the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Act, 2023 and CMU Guidelines for C-level appointments issued by Finance Division and circulated by Ministry of Energy (Power Division) through a letter of August 15, 2024.
According to him, for this purpose, after meticulous deliberations the Board of Directors, pursuant to application of due process, has in its 302nd/16th urgent meeting of Board of Directors on March 19, 2025, has finalized one candidate for the position of Chief Executive Officer, FESCO namely Muhammad Aamer, son of Ch. Khadim Hussain Pannu, bearing CNIC No: 33100-2486227-7.
As per the SOE Act 2023, the Board of Directors is empowered to hire the CEO, however, the Board is responsible to arrange pre-appointment necessary fit & proper checks / due diligence and security clearance of the shortlisted candidates through the concerned departments / security agencies, including SECP, FBR, NADRA, SBP, FIA, NAB, IB, HEC, concerned sectoral regulator/professional bodies or association and others, as deemed appropriate.
The Company Secretary, has forwarded the name of incumbent CEO FESCO finalized by the FESCO Board of Directors by way of this communique, for the purpose of attaining the pre-appointment requisite appropriate clearance from the relevant departments.
