ISLAMABAD :  The Power Information Technology Company (PITC), an arm of Power Division is reportedly confused about the credentials  of Waseem Bhatti, a candidate for Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of the Company as Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is using ‘ unofficial” channels to certify his credentials, Newzshewz has learnt reliably.

The Director Human Resource, PITC has sought official clarification from the PITB prior to proceeding  ahead on the appointment of CTO.

PITC has cited reference to its  earlier correspondence on the issue and approached Chairman PITB to the matter regarding   Waseem Bhatti, candidate for the position of CTO.

According to Director HR PITC, it is strange to note that rather than officially responding to the official letter from PITC, the Chairman PITB sent a letter by WhatsApp to the Chairman BOD, PITC, certifying his employment record and last designation, and it was portrayed as the official response from PITB. However, this letter neither carried any reference to PITC’s official communications nor addressed the specific queries raised in our earlier letters.

” As a standard HR practice, followed by PITC, the hiring organizations solicit feedback from the previous employer to ascertain the suitability of the candidate. The response from PITB is an important input for PITC to make a decision. However, despite repeated written and verbal requests, PITB has not fulfilled its responsibility, a norm in corporate practice, especially a public sector organization,” the sources quoted Director HR PITC as saying in a  letter to Chairman PITB.

The PITC has again urged on PITB to furnish feedback in response to formal communications from it, adding that if no reply is received by the mentioned date, the Organisation will assume that PITB has no input to provide, and PITC will proceed with the case of  Waseem Bhatti accordingly. Ends
