ISLAMAABD: M/s Rousch Power (Private) Limited (RPPL) has refused to pay Abiana to the Punjab Government for the land of power plant which has already handed over the National Power Parks Management Company (NPPMCL).
In a letter to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NPPMCL, titled “handing over of Rousch Power Complex to NPPMCL on December 31, 2024” CEO RPPL has apprised that the power company had recently received the invoices from the Revenue Department of the Government of Punjab for Abiana pertaining to land situated with the Complex area.
“RPPL has made the full payment of Rs 61,928 as per the invoices to the Government of Punjab for the period April to December 2024,” CEO RPPL added.
According to the RPPL, it has fulfilled its liability for Abiana upto the end of December 2024, adding that since the Complex is now in the possession of the NPPMCL, the company understands that the NPPMCL will bear the responsibility for Abiana payments from January 2025 onward.
In another letter, RPPL stated that it would not be responsible for any liability of the power complex after December 2024.
